Bell is really making it hard to be able to get anything for him in a trade. He Reynolds, and Polanco are just hitting awful, if any of the three were doing anything we might win a couple of games.

This new extra innings format isn't fair for the Pirates.

They have NEVER been able to score with runners in scoring position and no outs. It's been that way for years.

And that's why they are now 0-5 in extra innings.

Incompetence.

I don't know if there is, but if there ARE any, chances are- we have them. :(

I never thought about the stats for the make believe baseball game they play after 9 innings. But the pitcher is not charged with an earned run when the ghost runner scored because that guy had no business being there. That's fair. But all other stats counts. That runner gets to add a run scored into his stats when all he did was make the last out the inning before. And the guy who knocks in the make believe runner at 2B gets to add an RBI to his stats to help his season and career totals. Similarly, you can lead off an extra inning and add a sac bunt to your totals just because there was a make believe runner at 2B when you led off. Since the game descends into farce after 9 innings, I don't think any stats should count from that point. Just have team wins and losses rather than charging and rewarding pitchers with W or L.

Nobody except geezers have time to sit up all night watering and fertilizing it.

Besides, with our bullpen, the last people on earth who should be moaning about ending games early are Pirates fans.

I'm just glad we get a guy in scoring position for a change.

In the end, it's a whole bunch of nothing.  Row with the ow is how I go.

I think you have some good points.

This is new. I would think that some stats geek will separate OT stats from the first nine innings for certain factors. There's stats for everything.

I was just looking at the names of Pirate Pitchers who are either being called from Altoona or being sent there. Nick Mears, Tyler Bashear,

Cody Ponce and Yackeel Roe. Not what you would call household names. Never heard of these guys. Will have to ask Shedman if they are league minimum.ThiS is worse than sad.

All 3 of those guys are awful. Polanco keeps striking out, Reynolds who was a good looking hitter last year can’t buy a hit. Bell, I am not sure if last May was a fluke, or is he not a very good hitter. Watching this team is very frustrating!
