It is starting to seem pretty doubtful there's a season.

Started weeks ago. They waited too long to get on it. No sense of urgency. Not the only ones.

Greed is good...... as long as you're not also selfish, incompetent, carpetbagging cheapskate who's only in it for yourself, and you're at least able to win division championship every once in a while.

I agree, but not just because the two parties can't seem to compromise. The virus is still a major issue to contend with as we see some hockey players and now a pro golfer contract COVID. I'm not sure if the various leagues know yet how they're going to deal with an outbreak that strikes at a team during the season. If baseball does get started, and they're forced to shutdown for two weeks, what then becomes of the schedule? They're going to be up against the end of October as it is even if an agreement is reached today.

The league had to reconsider the bubble plan. New York state is considering a quarantine for visitors from hotspot states.

currently Kansas has a quarantine list too:

Required quarantines are mandated for anyone who traveled to Maryland on or after May 12; Alabama, Arizona and Arkansas on or after June 17; traveled internationally on or after March 15; or traveled on a cruise ship or river cruise on or after March 15.

Yeah.  Like Massachusetts (Red Sox/Yankees) and Pennsylvania (Phillies/Mets!)  ;)
