Why do I feel we will see either Strailey or Smyly in our rotation now?

Yeah, the pitching starved Orioles just DFA'd Straily and his 9.82 ERA. NH is probably salivating at the idea of adding him. He's only been in 14 games (47.2 innings) but leads MLB in HRs allowed with 22. Also 73 hits in those 47.2 IP.

He's clearly a pitch to contact guy. And only 14 games, so he’s had plenty of rest this year!

I heard Adam Berry on The Fan today and he indicated there may be some further information regarding Taillon today. I thought he said Taillon hasn’t been around the team for a couple days. That could be further exams, or even operation. It does not sound very promising for Taillon at this time.

There was a report last week that he was going to begin throwing, if the pain persisted after the throwing sessions, then they were going to go to surgery
