Also Eckstein and Cora are returning in their same capacities. Justin Meccage also returning, but to a position to be determined. Appears they want to bring in a new pitching coach and a new assistant pitching coach.

I am impressed that Kelly played a few years under Pgh favorite Jim Leyland in Detroit. Since Leyland loves Shelton I think this may have had something to do with his hiring by the Bucs. Welcome back to your hometown Don.

I wouldn't mind seeing Kelly's brother-in-law come back. Neil Walker has been a utility player the past few years and played for 2 mil last season so he's affordable. A rebuilding team needs a few veterans to show the young guys how things should be done. And a utility player isn't blocking anyone.

That could happen because I always heard there were some hard feelings towards the former front office, and now since they are gone who knows the new regime may offer Walker a contract.

Excerpt from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown":

Charlie Brown: If we really grit our teeth and bear down, I'm sure we could finish this season...

Linus and Sally enter; to Charlie Brown.

Linus: Perhaps you shouldn't be a playing manager, Charlie Brown. Perhaps you should be a bench manager.

Sally: That's a good idea. You'd be a great bench manager, big brother. You could say "Bench, do this," or "Bench, do that." You could even be in charge of where we put the bench. When we get to the playing field, you could say, "Let's put the bench here," or "Let's put the bench there."

Charlie Brown: I can't stand it.
