(For the Time Being) Oakland A's

Kansas Shitty Royals

The Small Market Chicago White Sox

The Free Spending But Destitute Pittsburgh Pre-Arbs

==================

What do these four clubs have in common that differs them from the other 26?

In 1998 (a long time ago) the Dodgers signed Kevin Brown to the first $100 million contract in MLB history.

These four clubs have yet to sign a player to a $100 million deal. The Guardians came off the list yesterday.

Within a couple years that list will be whittled down to just the A’s and the Pirates. The White Sox will surely lock up one or more of their young studs. KC will likely do the same with Whitt.

I doubt the Royals will sign Whitt, he is 33 yrs old and will not be a $100 mil player anytime soon.

Probably meant Bobby Witt, Jr.  21 years old.

The Pirates are the A's, WITH a stadium.

Probably a reason why they're dragging their feet getting one.
