Another shortstop error. I am not sure how many errors Mercer made last year, but we are going to surpass that amount in the first month of the season. Just checked Mercer made 10 errors last year, our shortstops have made 6 in 11 games.

All I wanted this offseason with an elite glove at SS even if he hit just .230.

well its not like the team was going to rely on pitching and defense this season. Clearly the plan is to out slug everybody.

That error was not on Gonzalez. It was an awkward (but very catchable) pop up down the LF line. Kang, Gonzalez, and Reyes converged. Gonzalez called for it and Kang did not stop pursuing the ball. He knocked it from Gonzalez's glove. Gonzalez got the error, but he did exactly what he was supposed to do and would have caught the ball.
