2024 Off-Season Thread

I have seen a couple articles about Stone Garrett who was recently designated for assignment by the Nationals. He suffered a very bad injury in late 2023, but seems like he has recovered. He has two options remaining, and it might be a good idea if the Pirates kicked the tires on him. If they ended up acquiring him, he may end up being the fourth outfielder.

I'm with ya fjk. Might as well DFA Josh Palacios cuz he's out of options and probably won't make the 26-man out of ST. Garrett has upside and options.

So far he is still out there. If he hits the waiver wire, my guess is the White Sox would claim him due to their poor record.

He had 11 saves for the Rockies in 2023, and his pitching splits are much better on the road than at Coors Field. He might just do well in our bullpen.

I was thinking that this would be a huge break out season for him. Still could happen, but losing 2 months hurts
