It's a shame when a1-run deficit seems insurmountable.

Maybe it's me, but I'm just not impressed with Pallante. He's left a lot of hittable pitches up, the Bucs refuse to attack those, he keeps throwing that crap in the dirt like he just did to Bart and they eat it up.

They have to stop getting in 1-2/0-2 holes on a regular basis. It's like they only start to swing when it's time to just be defensive

Teams go over the opposing hitters with their pitchers. They know how to pitch to the Pirates. The Pirates are known to take a lot of pitches to drive up pitch counts, fall behind in the count and swing at balls in the dirt. The Haines approach is very bad and opposing pitchers take advantage of it.
