Skenes gets a comebacker to the mound.

6IP 1R unearned, 7 k's, 1 BB, 4H

yet why does it seem almost ho-hum?

Excuse me, they did change the error to a hit, the run is earned, still lowers his ERA to 2.07

Joe grounds out

Really need to get him a run to get him off the hook, I don't trust the bullpen to not give up a run or two

Maybe it's me, but I'm just not impressed with Pallante. He's left a lot of hittable pitches up, the Bucs refuse to attack those, he keeps throwing that crap in the dirt like he just did to Bart and they eat it up.

They have to stop getting in 1-2/0-2 holes on a regular basis. It's like they only start to swing when it's time to just be defensive
Teams go over the opposing hitters with their pitchers. They know how to pitch to the Pirates. The Pirates are known to take a lot of pitches to drive up pitch counts, fall behind in the count and swing at balls in the dirt. The Haines approach is very bad and opposing pitchers take advantage of it.

hope Grandal can get him in, he got two calls that should have been strikes and struck out already

Grandal draws a walk. Two on, one out.
Nick Yorke up with a chance to make that first hit really count
