It is quite a irresponsibility that has fallen to us. We have to goad them into doing something they wouldn't otherwise have done. ;)

Oh yeah, I went into my eye doctor appointment at five thinking we hadn't done anything. :D

We left to go out to dinner and I heard about the trades in the car. I was happy to eat the crow I was served at the restaurant. Congrats to all who were involved in making the club better tonight than it was this morning. Now, let's catch the Hated Brewers.

When was the last time the Pirates made this many deals near the deadline? This has to be close to a record. On paper, the team is better today too.

I think they ended up saving money in the long run as well. Dumping Perez's salary and picking up less in IKF's probably made Nutting smile.

Went to a Curve game today. The offensive lineup was sketchy at best. After 6 innings I thought “there is not a single hitter here that I could project as a ML hitter.” Score stood at 7-0 for Richmond. Curve offensive highlight through 6 was 400 ft foul ball by Cimillo. Curve then scored 7 runs with a bunch of singles. Ended up winning 9-7 amazingly. Still I see no offensive help at Altoona, and that worries me. While I’m not sure McAdoo will ever be a quality hitter for a big league club, watching today’s game, it was hard to see that bat go.
