Baltimore needs mlb pitching real bad and Pirates have it. Bednar and a Ortiz would land a nice bat or two . If Jones was healthy, damn.

I really didn`t want all that Jazz anyway.

I think the Pirates traditionally lead MLB in "being in on" trade talks. I think where talks fall apart is where they say, "we'd like to trade for that guy; we just don't want to pay him."

Anyone read the story on the MLB site "5 trades that should happen....but (probably) won't"?

The very first one is the Pirates get Vlad Jr. and C Danny Jansen for Termarr Johnson, Anthony Solometo, and Hunter Barco.

It's pretty bad when the MLB site jumps on the "BOB is cheap" train (though they don't mention his name) as a main reason this trade wouldn't happen.
