Cutch Coming Home

<t>I love this move, but I'm waiting for another shoe to drop, and I hope it's not one of Reynolds' shoes!

In another thread I recently detailed our starting lineup vs. lefty pitching. The Roster

I count 23 pitchers on the MLB 40-man roster, assuming that Jarlin Garcia and Rich Hill will find their way there at some point. I count 19 position players. That's 42 guys.(We will likely put Heineman on the 40-man when Kranick is placed on the 60-Day IL.) So two players have to go when Garcia and H...

Thoughts On the Pirates Off Season

Believe it or not, the Bucs made a minor league signing that I really like Angel Perdomo is a very tall lefty who throws hard and had a sub-2.00 ERA at AAA last year.

I will not be surprised to see him pitch for the Pirates next season.

Thoughts On the Pirates Off Season

<t>To cut to the chase, I think we actually got worse during the off season, if that's possible.

Sure, I liked the acquisition of Jarlin Garcia, a decent MLB lefty reliever. Since we DFA'ed Manny Banuelos, we needed at least one and Garcia looks like an upgrade. The Rule 5 pic...

Sign Keller and Contreras Now!

Mainer, I agree. I'm only wondering if current market conditions, which feature sky high pitcher contracts, are scaring Pittsburgh management off, given the previously cyclical nature of such spending outbursts.

Not that Bob needs a reason to be cheap. ::)
