I saw Lux play in Des Moines last week(actually two weeks ago).  He hit two BOMBS, one to center and one to right.  Didn't notice much else about him other than the hitting.  Also, got to see our old friend Connor Joe play first base.

It seems to me that the Pirates have been worse this year than in recent years about giving up runs immediately after scoring themselves. But then I realize that I get crankier the older I get so this is only anecdotal evidence.

I think you could just call it a dead play if it is ball four. My main concern is that without this being timely you are looking at injuries that will occur from players sliding into second when it turned out to be ball four.
