<t>I felt like Cutch has really let the team down batting with RISP this year, but then I looked at his splits. He's slashing .303/.442/.450. That's much, much better than his overall line and not far off of his career RISP slash line (OPS .918). So, we can't blame him for that.<br/> <br/> <br/> <br...

<t>IMO, the FO really doesn't want to eat Jaso's contract. I think they are going to give him every chance to get in a hot streak to make him more appealing to some AL team looking for a bench bat for the stretch run. Bell having a slump in his return to AAA makes it easier to give Jaso this chance ...

<t>One way or another, most of that money will go to a SP to strengthen the middle of the rotation. Our bench was not as good last year, and we won 98 games. I don't see NH (Nutting)spending the kind of money that will be required to resign either of those guys unless/until the rotation is improved....

<t>I've been a Bucs fan for a long time now - since 1971. I've seen a lot of head-scratching moves by their GMs over the years. Most were the flops they appeared to be. A few worked out. I just do not get what happened today.<br/> <br/> <br/> <br/> I'm not thrilled that my favorite team has to m...

Cubs looking at Rays' starters
MLB.com is reporting that they're most likely looking at Moore and Odorizzi. Could this just be a Theo ploy to drive the price up for other teams? (Too cynical?)

Brault down and Moroff up . . .
Are these auditions for 2nd base? They don't need another starter for a while, so a position player makes sense. But why bring up Moroff who's scuffling at the plate this year, especially recently, when Bell would be a much better bat off the bench? Surely, they don't need the MiF depth.

Niese could potentially move after the deadline in a waiver trade. He could have value to a rebuilding team and should clear waivers.
