Of course, the Pirates won't win the inaugural Nutting Trophy this year. Won't even finish atop the NL Central. Not when the Brewers are in first place with the lowest opening day payroll in MLB.

My two cents. If Cutch puts this team on his back and carries them out of the cellar and into contention for a division title in late July, there is no way they can trade him for prospects and sell it to the fan base as a legitimate baseball move.
