Great throw by Delay and then a DP! I like Delay. Just makes the MLB roster by the skin of his teeth but is a very solid catcher and hits as well or better than Grandal and Davis.

Golly, I’m so glad that we got a camera shot of Greg Brown teasing Bob Walk about bumper stickers. Sportsnet Pittsburgh sure knows what their audience tunes in to see. And we were even treated to a look at Filibuster Block and sleepy Kevin Young in the radio booth.

It shows the value of pitching. In 4 of those 15 wins the Pirates scored 3 or fewer runs. That's the difference between 15-12 and 11-16.

Jason Delay (7 ABs) now has 1 fewer RBI than Henry Davis (85 ABs).

After I made fun of the lineup, they have 6 guys with 2 hits and everyone but Taylor with at least 1. And the 5-9 spots have all of the RBIs.

Looks like a strong lineup except for the 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 spots. Maybe Fleming and the strong middle relief corps(e) can pitch a shutout. I wonder if the Rockies' manager will laugh when they exchange lineups. ("Ha, you really had me there, Sheltie. That's a good one. But seriously, what's you...

Great throw by Joe! But the ensuing triple ties it up. I switched to the Rockies broadcast. Curiously, the announcers seem focused on the game instead of yukking it up in the booth. In fact, the camera isn’t even showing the announcers. What a concept!
