Friday, October 7, 1960---With the series tied at one apiece, the Pirates and Yankees were off as they traveled to New York for games 3, 4 and 5 at Yankee Stadium.

After 2 games, the Pirates were led by Groat (375), Mazeroski (.375) and Clemente (.333). Rocky Nelson was at .400 (2 for 5) in only one game. Mazeroski led with 1 HR and 2 RBIs. For NY, Kubek was .545, McDougald was .500, Maris was .444 and Skowron was .400. Mantle had 2 HRs and 5 RBIs.

The Yankees had a team batting average after 2 games of .390. The Pirates were at .304.
