this is hindsight on my part, but I have to wonder why the Bucs thought Tellez was worth signing? There were other first baseman available but the Bucs acted like they wanted him.

The Brewers had no problem letting him move on.

Haven't the Pirates had entire games where they haven't connected with 33 pitches (not counting fouls)?

Rowdy is 12-77 over his last 30 games. Not the kind of production you want from a first baseman. I guess his number one strength is being a big target at first base.

Maybe maximizing profits is what the analytics team really works on.

looks like the Bucs have put together another bad team. Disappointing but not surprising.

I have been patient but now am in the fire Shelton camp. There is just no way that Nicholas should have been left in as long as he was. Also apparently no one was warming up until he had hit a batter and walked two. There should have been somebody else ready to go by the end of the second walk.

maybe Stratton will go to Indy tomorrow for Skenes. He is pitching like he wants that to happen.

I looked at minor league stats for first time since season started. Altoona and Bradenton combined have gone 10-35. Perhaps there goal is to make the Pirates look better. No offense on either of those teams thus far.

I haven't been following team closely for a couple weeks. Checking now to help get the ninth inning rally for a victory going.

65 pitches, let's see what he goes to next time. Maybe when he gets to 80 he will be promoted.
