Beating them is the only thing I asked Santa for this year for my birthday,which of course is tomorrow as luck would have it!
I will be at work following the game closely online and cheering on our Bucs as they take on the hated Manatees while wearing my tshirt that says "My two favorite teams are the PIRATES and whoever's playing the Manatee CC Lancers". On the back of the shirt,the dates and scores of all 10 prior meetings. I plan on updating the shirt to say 11-0 after tomorrow,anyone wants one,just email me privately.
Tomorrow is the day for all Pirates fans,even if they always disagree about everything from who should start in LF to who should be released, to band together for one common cause,and that is to cheer on our boys to victory over the most vile unit of so called baseball players ever to set foot on the diamond....the HATED MANATEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE LANCERS!!! Even the mention of their name makes my fist ball up in anger(try typing like that!).
LETS GO BUCS! LETS GO BUCS! LETS GO BUCS!

But, based on that logic, I would assume you have a shirt with every record for every team the Buccos play.
I'm sure you don't, so, was curious what sets the Lancers apart from the rest.

The Pirates play an exhibition game vs Manatee Community College every year. There's a running joke about it being a "rivalry" with "the hated Manatees". Pirate fans look forward to the game every year because it's usually the first game of spring training, but this year for whatever reason they're staging it at the end. I hope they move it back to the start of spring training next year, since it seems anti-climactic now.

I might make the new shirts say 10 and uhoh!  You know the old saying,every Lancer has its day....better be the last time. Next year the Pirates better crush them with the major leaguers(or the Bucs equivalent of that). True story and I'm assuming it was related to the game,I woke up in the middle of the night because my hand hurt from making a fist in my sleep. First time that ever happened to me |
