I may be alone in this, but I feel I must say something that has bothered me for a long time now.  Some might just call it a pet peeve.  It is becoming an increasing fashion on this board to quote other peoples comments, make changes to them and then say that the comments were 'fixed.'  Now if these changes were made to correct some fact I can understand that. That is not the case. Usually the 'fix' is to make the post into some sort of snide comment or to criticize the original poster. I for one don't find the humor in the snide and nasty comments that are usually presented as 'fixes.'   I find this a complete lack of respect for the thoughts presented by the author.  If you have something to say, use your own words and ideas, don't 'correct' the thoughts of someone else.

I don't think this has anything to do with respect. It's just a common way for people to joke around.

I agree with Gogo- it is intended as humor.  Steve's recent one was probably borderline.
