Hopefully someone checks this forum once in awhile...any idea if we could get an ignore feature on this site?  It would come in really handy.  I've heard others mention it as well.

Space Pirate,

Unfortunately there is not ignore feature available with our forum software.  To get that feature would entail a tremendous amount of work on the Gunner who handles all that stuff.

The Admins have talked about that issue and recommend that you use the manual way of ignorning post.  Just do not open any threads started by someone whom you wish to ignore and just don't read posts by that same person when he/she posts to an ongoing thread.

Sorry to have to tell you this.  Thanks for coming to OBN.

This ignores both PMs and posts by a user.

How to enable it:

Click 'Profile'
Click 'Personal Message Options'
Add the persons name to the list.
Click the 'Change Profile' button.
Done!

Remove the name from the list to end ignoring.

When the person posts, you will only see a message box with the following text:

You are ignoring this user. Show me the post.

'Show me the post' is a text link which will allow you to see what they wrote.

Naturally, this does not work on quoted text.
