Fossum's stats have been pretty abysmal for most of his career.  He appears to be the type of pitcher you stash at AAA just in case you need a spot start to save younger arms at the major league level.  And at that, it appears you shouldn't expect him to deliver more than 5 innings while surrendering 4 or 5 runs.

Of the three signings, Wright appears the only one who has even a remote chance of making the team, and then only if he is miraculously over his many ailments.

At this point, what can a fan expect but low risk signings.  Unfortunately, such signings likely will return even lower (read no) results.  It appears that NH will continue to make a flurry of insignificant moves around the edges to fill out the major league, AAA and AA rosters, while hoping that a few of the team's better players play well enough to trade them at the mid-point of the season for younger talent.

I have no problem with these guys signing minor league contracts. Maybe one or two have something left in their tank which would help solidify the bullpen.

Why would anyone have a problem with these signings?  All they do is give us possibilities.  Lets see how they pan out.
