Ronnie has not played a game since Saturday, and the Bucs could buy some time by placing him on the DL to start the season if they don't get any takers for Vazquez. If Crosby would  have to start the first few games, I would not have a problem with him at shortstop. As long as Cedeno does not play any of the remaining games, they could back date his time on the DL.

All indications are that this is just precautionary and no real cause for concern.
