Pearce getting a rare start eventhough hes played more games than anyone he still has just the 15th most AB's on the team... which leads me to believe hes probably being sent down after the game

McCutchen CF
Iwamura 2B
LaRoche 3B
Doumit C
Clement 1B
Pearce RF
Cedeno SS
Moss LF
Morton P

Other scheduled pitchers are Bass and Meek

Braves up 4-0 in the 4th. McLouth homered to lead off the game and Hinske just hit a 3 run shot.

Pirates offense is having another day off. Morton has the only hit.

I guess those new contacts only work against Charlie Morton?

Marte went deep...so I guess that is good.

Unless you are listening to the game and the boxscore is behind,I dont think Marte homered. Dejan wrote that he went out to CF meaning he took over for McCutchen. I believe Pearce has the only homer, last update from Dejan was less than 10 minutes ago with no mention of a Marte HR

Bucs are staging a nice rally against Jessie Chavez in the 8th.  We're down one and still nobody out.

Jesse Chavez 1/3 IP 5 ER.  Reminds me of last year's spring training.

Kevin Melillo was the only of 8 batters not to reach base against Chavez.  I forgot the Pirates signed him.

How soon before the Braves ship him out and Nate starts lighting candles?

Would've been nice but its good that theyve already used him in more than one spring game, hope he gets a couple more games in. d'Arnaud has been used the most among any minor leaguers not invited to camp,4 times.
