Usually an article like this about a guy with a career 5.00 ERA over 5 seasons with a WHIP over 1.60 wouldnt do much for me and this article falls into that category. Problem with him is I've seen him pitch too much to think he ISNT a full-time major league pitcher,he's an AAAA guy. Maybe he found something at age 31,maybe not, results have been very good early though so I guess we will see. Along with the love for Hart with no major league success, they seem to really like Taschner as well for very little reason. This is definitely the first time I've heard him as an opening day option and he does have some good things to say about the Bucs

I too am waiting for the other shoe to drop on Taschner, but taking a look at his MiLB stats, he's shown great K rates in the past. I like looking at 2005 and 2006 when he posted great K and ERA numbers in the hitter-friendly PCL.

At this point Taschner, Carrasco, and Chaulk should round out the remaining three  bullpen spots. It would appear Dotel, Donnelly, Lopez, and Meek are locks for now.

Who do they DFA in that case?  They would need three spots, although one could come up with Vazquez, and another from Jose Ascanio going on the 60 day.

They're going to have to get rid of Moss or offer Raynor back.  Hopefully the former.

Jakabobsled wouldn't be a huge loss, either.  There's a good chance he'd get through waivers.  Argenis Diaz might, too.

Taschner doesn't really have a platoon split, though, which would make me wary as the only lefty out of the pen. I understand wanting guys who can get hitters from both sides of the plate out, but it's not as if Taschner has proven he can do that consistently at the Major League level, and I'd still feel more comfortable having at least one guy that we can count on to come in and really shut good left-handed hitters down. It's not as if Javier Lopez has gotten rocked this spring.

Thanks forgot about Moss, I did think about Raynor, but I would prefer he says.
