Looks like Friday hit a 2 run HR in the Rays game. Pirates lead that one 3-1 in the 7th

I'd like to see Harrison make a splash this year. If he can hit at a more advanced level, I think he could be the surprise of our minor leagues in 2010.

Pedro triples and Friday homers.  Not exactly going by the script.

Boy, I just watched Kevin Whelan of the Yankees closing out the game against the Phils. I've been following this kid since his his days at A&M and was imploring the Bucs to take him in the Rule 5 draft for two years in a row.
Now, I like that Raynor was picked too, but given that Stark was responsible for getting Whelan drafted in Detroit, I thought they certainly were going to add him to our 2010 too. I might be wrong, but the kid is freely throwing in the mid-90's with movement and appears to be challenging hitters much more than I've seen in the past.
Whelan looks like a legit MLB reliever that would have fit well here.

But as for being a safe pick, I don't think there is such a thing. When someone gets to the big leagues and performs, then I'll say he's a safe pick. Until that happens, there's no such thing. -Bruce Seid- Brewers Director of Scouting

Moskos looked very hittable, though not as bad as VV. D'Arnaud snared a grounder at third and made a helluva throw to get the batter at 1st. I was also a little disappointed in Gorkys' range in CF.

My major takeaway from today's game was that our hitters just weren't patient enough. We repeatedly swung at 1st and 2nd pitches and our lack of success reflected it.
