Hillcats trying to even it up tonight lead 1-0 in the 6th with Rudy Owens pitching a gem, 5.1 so far,no runs, 5 K's. They scored their only run on a Matt Hague groundout scoring Romak

Owens went 6 full with 6 K's. McSwain in to pitch. Its good to see that kind of performance by Owens in the playoffs at the end of the year although I'm a little surprised they let him go 6,its his longest outing at Lynchburg

Agreed. I feel really comfortable that McSwain is there to back him up. Now if they can curb the errors there may be a shot at the series.

They have Roman Aguero, who got "demoted" for the series after pitching well in Altoona. Hes got 2 outs in the 8th,score remains the same

I never really followed him because hes older than most players at the level but Harrison Bishop has some decent stats despite the high ERA,seems like he must of had a lot of bad luck. He had a nice K rate, almost 1 per inning, had a nice walk rate(3:1 K/BB),allowed just 5 homers, had a nice WHIP(1.21) batters hit just .240 off him yet his ERA was 5.02....those numbers dont add up. Going just on those stats alone he had a better season than Uviedo who I thought did real well

Great game tonight. I got video of every pitch thrown by the Cats, and what a night to do it!
After the game I got interviews with Bryan Morris, Justin Wilson, Rudy Owens, and Jordy Mercer. I'm also setting up e-mail interviews with Tony Sanchez and Matt Hague. I'll probably start putting the interviews up next week.

Great work Tim. It would have been great if Montgomery went for Wilmington against Owens thou, that's a dream duel. Locke has his hands full tonight against him.

Montgomery was sitting in front of me at the game charting pitches.

Sanchez gets his first HR wearing the Green and Gold...to LEFT FIELD. If you've ever been to the ballpark in Wilmington, you'll understand why that's such a big deal.

I've been listening to the broadcasts the last two nights, and apparently it's very tough to hit one out there. Chase did the same in the top of the 9th. Hillcats won 5-2. I'll be at game 5 tomorrow.

Earlier in the year I saw Jordy Mercer hit a HR to LF at Wilmington that was just crushed, very impressive shot. Going by the fact he led the Carolina League in doubles this year and that home run that I saw,I think Jordy Mercer could have 20 home run power by the time he's major league ready
