Within a span of a few minutes, fans of the University of Minnesota experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows with two of their teams.  First, the men's basketball team connected on a full court play ala Christian Laetner 1992 to beat Indiana in the Big 10 Tournament.  Less than five minutes later, the men's hockey team loses 1-0 with under two minutes to go in the second overtime (overtimes in college hockey are 20 minutes, just like regular periods, so that's nearly 140 minutes of scoreless hockey) on a shorthanded goal against Mankato State University.

The kid who made the basket for Minnesota also won a Championship in High School on a last second shot when he was sitting on the floor.  He fell to the floor and the ball landed in his hand and he put it up and it went in.  Crazy that the same person did it twice at two different levels.
