Welcome to the new permanent home of OnlyBucs.
We have been experiencing an unusual amount of downtime the past 5 weeks due to a corrupted database on our old forums and front page. The problem has prevented many members from being able to login. The problem was not only limited to the base membership, but extended to most of the site staff as well. It became apparent the only way to resolve the problem was to set up shop in a new location on the web.
The current status of the front page is down. Our old front page suffered database corruption which rendered it inoperable. It appeared to be fine, but we were unable to publish new stories. It was also impossible to call up any of the existing stories. All of the written material from our front page has been lost. We are currently in the process of rebuilding the front page and hope to return it to the web as soon as possible. This will probably take some time. The priority has been to get a new forum in place, which has finally been accomplished.
If you notice any problems or have any questions regarding the new forums, please do not hesitate to post in our Help Forum. We will try to assist you asap. Please remember, this is all new to us and we are learning it, also.

I will add my welcome to you all...
It has been a real bummer to not have any access to the forums for 2 months. The saving grace is that there hasn't been anything to talk about, so it wasn't like I was sitting on a pile of things to say...
Anyway, hope all goes well in the transition...

Oh I'm very happy to see a new home for us at a time when things in Pirate Land are new also! I am as positive as can be at this time. It's also nice to see some activity, which has really been lacking - especially when there is stuff to talk about. Welcome one and all! It's very nice to be here and even better to be talking with you all. That being the case, we are all here for one real reason, and that is that we all have some sort of Tie to our favorite Baseball Club, weather it be simply that we are all fans or for what ever reason. According to Gunner it does not look like that will happen. When the old board went south it looks like the ability to copy and paste the old FP articles went with it. Sorry |

It's always possible to cut and past the articles into text files. They can then be reposted on the new site. They need not be lost for all time if someone does a little work. |

All the really, really stupid stuff I wrote on the older versions of first The Bucaneer than OnlyBucs.com then OnlyBucs.net can finally be forgotten?
Great job on getting a New and Improved Forum up and running.
