NOt much activity on this board I see...but the Steelers signed Farrior to a FIVE year 18 million dollar extension. The guy is already a 12 yet veteran!  WOW!

That's not too bad, then.  In football, you have the advantage of non-guaranteed contracts, so if his skills erode suddenly due to age, they can cut him loose.

I don't expect him to go the whole time, but play for as long as he can, then retire a Steeler.
