This one IS understandable but he may be making the mistake of his life.  He will forgo another shot at a Stanley Cup for more dollars.  At some point in one's career, they decide the treade off would be worth it, but then it's too late and the body has let the mind down some.

Sure he'll get offers out side of Pittsburgh and they'll be high. On another team he'll once again be called upon to lead, that did not work elsewhere.  He has forgotten.  In Penguin land, he was but another talented player on a team of many.  No pressure.  So instead of 7 million he'll get 9 and instead of success he'll find failure.

It's too bad because he had promiss with us.  He had good chemestry with Sid and together they were just fine.  Good luck to Hossa, he'll need it, and we'll find someone else with Chemestry for Sid.

Does it kill us?  No!  Did we WIN with him? No, we did not.  Oh well, I still make that trade, it almost worked.

I still think there is a chance he does resign with Pittsburgh.  I don't think we will get offered THAT much more than 7 mil per year (probably eightish).
