By the way, I believe the revenue from which the players draw their salaries does not include every revenue stream available to the owners. The net effect: Assuming the truth of the claim that some owners have had trouble spending to the salary cap, it seems NFL owners cannot work out a revenue sharing system among themselves which is equitable and which provides for league-wide competitiveness; so, to fix these problems, they want the players to subsidize the weaker franchises in the league.
