I wasn't very surprised to see that Pitt fired its WBB coach, Lance White.  They seem to be on a five-year cycle...hire, then hire another. 

What was surprising to me is that he makes the first head coach who was hired by Ms. Lyke, then dismissed by her.  With all the sports the school offers, I would have thought that there would have been an earlier one in one of the less-visible sports.

I'd like to see the women's program improved.  It's as big of a challenge as it's been for the men's side, maybe even more.  I dnk how highly-regarded the ACC is on the women's side.  If Va Tech can do it, then I don't see a reason why Pitt can't.
